ENGLISH 100 Word Challenge The 100 Word Challenge is a writing competition particiapted in by children all over the world. it involves creative writing based on a simple prompt. The only two rules are that your entry must contain exactly 100 words and that it must include and relate to the prompt. Children are encouraged to use their imagination. Your response can be whatever you want: poem, description, speech, song, rap, a mini story........ it is completely up to you. The prompt this week will produce some really interesting posts I’m sure! It is: …so that is why I am always last… Things to think about:
Remember, 100 words minimum, 100 words maximum. Maths As we get closer to SATS it is important to practise. Give yourself 45-60 mins to finish this paper. Remember to check your answers and read the questions. Bring the paper with you to school and your teacher will go through it with your class. No calculator.

ARABIC Topic We are looking at inheritance in our Science and topic work. Dog breeders use inheritance when cross breeding dogs. Please look at the Powerpoint or PDF and then do the task from side 11 on the worksheet below. Remember you must list the inherited features.

Science JC Science Fayre. This is optional opportunity, see Mrs kaye for more info If you would like to be involved in the JC Science Fayre you will need to independently carry out AT1 investigation, to a high standard, thinking of your own question. Wednesday 8th at 7.40am – meet me to check your question is going to work! See how your planning is coming along. I will hand out presentation boards. Let me and Mrs Hughes know what equipment you require for your experiment. Monday 13th March- Lab time – 11.00 – 12.00 to carry out experiment. You will need to work collaboratively to carry out your investigation. Don’t forget to take photos/video for your presentation. Tuesday 14th March – 1.30-2.00pm 6A classroom to work on presenting DATA on Excel Spreadsheet/similar. Wednesday 15th March – 1.30-2.00pm Look at final presentation and any video footage of the experiment. Finalists to be selected to attend JC Science Fayre tomorrow. Thursday 16th March – 11.00-12.00 (leave 10.45 to set up- return to school 12.15) Parents are welcome to come to the Science Fayre to support.
